ASCV Overall Goal

Promote provision of necessary medical, humanitarian, nutritional and rehabilitative support to enhance sickle cell disease affected-children’s nutrition, improve daily their functionality and independence while ensuring access to equitable living standards.

Organization Specific Objectives

⦁ To determine the psychosocial well-being among caretakers of children sickle cell disease, through conducting focused family visits.
⦁ To implement integrated packages of psychosocial and counseling services tailored to identify participant needs among SCD infected children and their families through follow-up outreaches.
⦁ To foster partnerships with
international organizations to address global SCD issues, develop and implement evaluation and monitoring frameworks and access program effectiveness and cooperate engagements with government for more inclusive policies.
⦁ Raise awareness about sickle cell disease (SCD) and its impact on individuals, families, and communities.
⦁ Provide supportive education skills and resources to children/youth affected by the SCD, their families, and healthcare providers.
⦁ Advocate for improved healthcare services, policies, and research related studies with regards to Sickle cell diseases and other complimentary diseases.
⦁ Promote early diagnosis, screening, and prevention of Sickle cell diseases.
⦁ Enhance quality of life for children with SCD through comprehensive care and support.
