Identifying and screening of sickle cell disease with aid of community based health structures in program target communities.
Conduct consistent psychotherapy sessions to reduce on trauma, stigmatization and stimulate self-esteem among children and youth infected with sickle cell disease and so is to their caregivers
Conduct joint refresher trainings with partner healthcare providers and health facilities to improve SCD management and care procedures
Conduct trainings of adolescent children affected with sickle cell disease with life vocational skills, necessary supportive services and start-up incomes for vocational skills’ related income generating project
Conduct research studies, surveys and sensitization of parents of children with sickle cell disease to better understand the care, management, manifestations and detection capacity of the disease
Conduct promotion of Gender Based Violence (GBV) reduction programs among affected families and communities
Facilitate caregivers of SCD affected children with livelihood support trainings to boost home-based care and rehabilitation services
Participate in Development and dissemination of clinical guidelines and best practices for Sickle cell disease care and management
